Growing up, I struggled with academics and had a fixed mindset. My educational experience took a 180-degree turn in high school when I had a teacher who took the time to support my educational needs. I discovered a whole new way of learning and subjects that interested me. The teacher helped me develop a growth mindset and discover that learning does not just take place in a classroom setting, but it happens everywhere! I became an educator to help students that were just like me. I want to create an environment that meets the learning needs of every individual. Also, a community that creates a passion to continue to grow in their learning.
